Am planning to land in Canada in July to complete the formalities but do not intent to stay back Would I be liable to pay taxes on income earned outside of Canada.
On first thoughts, you may not be required to pay any tax on your world wide income prior to landing in Canada- this rule applies to all immigrants in their first year of residence. You only pay tax on the income you earn in Canada after you immigrate permanently and also on World Wide Income since you became a permanent resident.
Since, you're not planning to establish a place of residence immediately I think you do not need to worry about tax liability in Canada. The Canada Revenue Agency website address is http://www.ccra-adrc.gc.ca. I suggest going through this website as it does have a lot information for new immigrants, FAQ's, etc.
