Is it possible for two separate individuals to share the cost of membership for Costco. for instance if Person A and Person B work together and don't really know each other outside of work but want to share the cost of membership half and half, is there a way this could be done !? If so, what needs to be done, Do we both have to go to Costco toghether ?

Intent is certainly not to cheat at all, however i wanted to see if theres a cost effective way to solution the membership :) Any and all advise is as always much appreciated.

Thank You
C

I like that the topic you choose is Financial Planning.

Yes two individual can share the membership and will be issued two separate cards PROVIDED
They live at same address. Costco will ask for driver licences of both individuals to match the addresses.

YES, you can go at different time to get the membership. That is not a constraint.

Couple of my neighbours uses my Costco membership. Sometime, they come with me when I go to Costco for my purchases. They do not share the membership fee but I am executive member so I get 2% cash back on their purchases and 1% from AMEX. They do not mind it as they do not want to take membership for the reason that it forces them to use it. I am big fan of Costco. Their return policy is awesome as well their prices (but be careful).

Thanks Desi#1, i am actually planning my expenses for certain memberships and thought this would be the best spot to share opinoin if there are any other ways the cost of this membership could be reduced. I love costco too but think the membership cost is high (versus amount of shopping i do on a yearly basis from there).

Is there any other way teh cost of this could be reduced !? Sharing is out of question now as the one i am thinking of splitting the cost does not share the same address. Are there any other ways other than requesting someone to go with you to shop who is a member ( i personally do not like as that causes schedule conflicts for member, if i am only available to shop for certain times of the week.

As Maharaj said ask a member to buy Costco Cash Card. Once you have it you do not need membership at cash counter. Pay thru cash card.
