Hi,
I want to be able to trade (buy and sell ) US shares - which type of account can I get with TD, so I don't have to convert to and fro (and lose on the exchange rate).
I would like to be able to do this using registered and non registered account ?
Thanks
You can trade US securities without f/x conversion in both registered and non registered a/c's. However, be very careful in registered as you have to inform them every time you trade a US security. They would avoid f/x by parking your USD in money market funds.

Hi Iceberg,
can you elaborate a bit more by what you mean by "you have to inform them every time you trade a US security."
*** do you have to call TD Waterhouse or what?
"they would avoid f/x by parking your USD in money market funds"
*** what do you mean?????
Thanks
