Scarborough Citizenship Timeline - waiting for Oath Ceremony

Hi there,

I applied for citizenship in Jan 2009 and took my citizenship test on Nov 19th 2009.

I am waiting for my test result and or invitation for oath ceremony.

Also today I recieved another booklet "A look at Canada - new edition" and a letter saying that from now on the new book will be used for the questions on the citizenship test. It was mailed out to me on Dec 18th 2009 which is strange as its 1 month after my test date. The letter was a general letter "To Whom It May Concern" so I am thinking its just a generic letter sent out to everyone.

Anyway I would appreciate some feed back from people who have also taken the test already. I am curious if anyone has gotten an invitation for their oath ceremony ?

Hi,

This is strange. I gave my test on 10th Nov '09 in Vancouver. I have not received any such booklet.
Having said that, I have not yet received any notification on the oath ceremony or test results..
In any case, it would be good to hear from anyone in CD forum about this.

Hello,

I was told by CIC call center that all those who have written their test after a certain date (he did not tell me which is this "certain" date although I asked him), will likely receive this letter and a new booklet. I think the message was not to read too much into it and treat it as "information".
He also added that I could receive it too but it does not mean that I have to write the test again.

Yes I tried calling CIC but could not get through as their lines were busy.

Having said that, I feel its merely a generic letter sent out to all recent applicants. If you do recieve your test results or get an invitation for the OATH Ceremony then please do let me know.

This book is for those who will write their test or will have interview after 15th of March 2010.

I wrote my test at Scarborough on 7th December. Still no news.

You'll probably receive the invitation before Feb 10.
