For people who don't know Rob Ford, he has been Etobicoke North councilor for almost 10 years. He had single handedly (and unsuccessfully) fought against pay rises to Councilors, mayor and city's unions in the city council
He also posts regularly all the expenses of various city councilors (funded by tax payers) on his website
And he leads by example. He didn't take any tax money to run his councilor office.
(while other councilors have claimed almost 40,000 to 50,000 dollars per year as expenses apart from the 100,000 dollar per year salary they draw from the city).

Rob Ford says the salary paid to the councilor (which is about 100,000 dollars per year) should be used for that.
If elected, he plans to trim wasteful expenditure by the city, cut the council size to half.

Compare him with David miller who raised the taxes in the city, gave himself and the councilors pay rise and gave pay rise to striking city workers

While I admire Rob Ford through his radio, desis must think twice and ask him questions before they vote for him.
I am not sure he would be comfortable to see a Toronto where 2 out of every 3 resident is a "visible minority". I believe he still has a racial bias and I hope he tries to gets rid of his bias if he really wants to become mayor of a very multicultural city.
