Hello,
Thanks you so much for all your posts after the Accenture behaviourial interview I had last year.
I was interviewed at the Ford Oakville complex for a supervisory role in Operations last week.
I will put in the transcript so that we can build a repository. If anybody is appearing for any interviews in any of the big corporations please add your transcripts which may be a useful guide.
The interviwer at Ford did not ask me any subjective questions. After the interview I felt as if I was not interviewed at all compared to my earlier TTC and City of Ottawa interviews where they had like 22 on the job case scenarios for me to speculate on in a span of 45 mins(I was panting by the
end of the TTC interview and asked for a glass of water).City of Ottawa wanted me to make a 25 min engg project presentation.
The Ford interviewer went over my resume with a tooth comb and checked the flow, the dates and the buzz words and made notes as to why I switched jobs. I was waiting for the standard interview questions your strengths, weaknesses, dreams, solve conflict blah blah.
After the resume was ironed out she asked me why I applied.I told her the standard Monster.com answers career growth, challenging career, Why Ford is god's gift to mankind...Then she rephrased the question 1) first of all what prompted you go to Workopolis in the first place and 2) why did you choose Ford when you know the automotive sector the big 3 are taking big hits and closing plants. She then spoke about the company vision (I was lucky she did not ask me for an answer)
This interview did not have any questions answer session .I thought that she was not interested in me as she did not open her fat structured interview questionnaire which lay in fromt of her and we just went over my resume which we could have done over the phone.
I got a call for Round 2 today unexpectedly. Will keep you posted.
Thanks,
Jack109

Give me an incident
-when you found out that your planning & organising skills went completelt awry?
-Any incident that you find frustrating and that reccurs on the job?
-When did you have a major miscommunication with your boss / associates?
-You worked under presssure and you had a deadline to accomplish?
-What are the points that you dislike about your current position?
-When was the last time you went that extra mile to accomplish something?
-Give me an example when you had to make a hard and complex decision?Could you please outline the decision making process that you use?
For all the above negative questions the interviewer interjected..Oh I goofed up 5 major things majorly last week....I can tell you so easily things that I hate my position right away......She was basically stating that these questions are so easy and that I should give her good quality scenarios all the time.
After this we had a role play session where two technical managers argued with me acting as unionised memers tryig to harass a new supervisor on the production / shop floor and i explained my points of view.
Interview over and I said thanks and left.
