There is very interesting dialogue between Chopra and Shukla in Washington Post. The article is bit long but certainly worth reading. The comments following the article are also very interesting.

Deepak Chopra grew up in Nehruvian India, like most of us and hence he hates Hinduism. Aseem Shukla didn't, therefore he is more rational.

One interesting comment on the article is reproduced below. I found it to be so relevant to the Indians and India of today. JNU and their cronies have made us feel so miserable that we can not say with pride that we are Hindu. Instead we have to say that rubbish word that we are secular when in fact Hinduism or better Santan Dharma is so pluralistic and accommodating that it is better than being labeled as secular.

They are victims themselves of the systematic denigration of Hinduism that has occurred during the last 200 years. And like a lot of victims of humiliation, they lash out at their fellow Hindus so they can feel better or different.
We all can sense that Chopra, Dyer, Tolles love Hindu philosophy, Vedanta, Upanishads, Yoga, Meditation, etc...
But they are afraid or ashamed.
They think (and perhaps correctly still), that the word "Hinduism" carries a stigma, after all these years of propaganda, that they must run & hide from.
But the fact is that today, 2010, it's time to correct this falsehood and historical injustice.

If you are ashamed n hate hinduism then its all right, hinduism gives you that liberty. But keep it to yourself ... don't say WE.
