Hi, i recently received my landing papers and found out that last letter in my middle name is missing. The name is correctly spelt in all other landing forms of my family members. Do i need to send back the form for correction or such minor rectification can be done at the immigration desk uppon landing. Appreciate advice. Thanks, Ady
Your landing papers are very important documents. A lot of future documents (including OCI application, citizenship applications) will use your landing papers for verification purposes. I would recommend correcting any inconsistancies/mistakes as there might be problems later. Call/email the CIC to find out how and when this can be done.

A lot of people under assume the importance of this document and some times misplace it .... when its time to file for PR renewal / Citizenship , this is a primary document and getting a duplicate takes more than 8 weeks ...
I would second the poster's opinion to get this rectified asap .

Fido.
Depending upon the actual full name : Last name, First name and Middle name - if the number of characters are too many, sometimes the last few letters of the Middle name are not printed on the COPR form. It happened to me, but I never had any issue anywhere for 2 reasons :
- Generally your full name spelling is there in their system, just too long for printing.
- Middle name is very rarely used, generally it is the last name and first name.
But in case the length of the name is not an issue, please get it corrected - there may be some other issue.
Good luck.

I have also had the same issue. I did send an email to the CIC Enquiry Team and they had resonded that the names in their systems are correct and complete although while printing there is a restriction on only 15 characters and hence any characters over 15 gets truncated which is not a problem.
