Hi guys, thanks in advance for any clarification.
I recently sent my landing papers to a med school as proof of Canadian permanent residency. However the admission office insisted my landing papers have expired. The only thing that remotely resembles an expiry date is the date indicating the expiry date of the passport of my citizienship country... So, just want to ask the expert here, does landing papers have an expiry date, or no?
Thanks,
Howie
Yes they do .... technically it is one year from the time you do your medicals ... but check for Box 33 on the record of landing.

Anyway, I just called the Citizenship and Immigrations Canada, and they confirmed that landing papers do not expire. In fact, when I decided to retire, I need to show that to get my pensions.
Cheers,
Howie.

Sorry to ask..
Say if someone received landing papers at age 30 & retiring at age 60, is that means he has to keep those landing papers SAFE for 30 years
I guess if someone gets citizenship, those landing papers are NO more required
