Didn't you ask them?
They should be able to itemize the exact features and components for each of these policies.

yes practism

they explained, as per representative said, bronze is simple insurance. gold means u have some coverage of jewellary, house stuff and others. and platinum is they can build house in event of fire or any other problem as per new laws without any single charge.

But afterall for me i am first time homebuyer i dont understand very well all this story which one is good to have , what exactly things necessary to have in house insurance? is it worth spending to go platinum or bornze is ok?

so i am asking is anybody having TD insurance who knows better than me can guide me very well

I have TD home insurance but I haven't heard of these types of packages.
However, based on what you say, it appears bronze will be just fine.
Unless you have thousands of $$ of jewelery kept in the house, you don't need the gold coverage (ironic, eh?)
If you do have that type of jewelery, it's better to get a deposit box at a bank and keep it there, rather than in the house.
Deposit boxes are not easy to get at banks these days, so you may have to decide what you wanna do.
The way you describe platinum, why would you need the bank to re-build the house?
It's probably enough to take the cash value and buy a new house instead of depending on the bank to rebuild.
Of course, you have to have fire coverage so make sure you don't take that out (even if it's allowed).

I suggest call them back and ask them to itemize for you exactly what is covered, and isn't covered, by the bronze.
Make sure you have coverage for fire, water damage, general theft, environmental damage, etc.
If the only thing extra in gold is the jewelery coverage and in platinum is the re-building coverage, then bronze should be enough.

I have home insurance with TD Meloche Monnex group insurance through my employer. I have the bronze coverage on my policy. If you want to know the difference between Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze, click on the following link from their website:

http://www.melochemonnex.com/en/residential/insurance_coverage

If you have a basement in your home, you may also want to take out their below ground water coverage. They also have a useful above-ground water coverage clause that covers rain/snow/water leaking through the roof, walls, eavesthrough, etc of the home
