Hi CD's,

I just wanted to share something with you all. Yesterday when I was away from mine home for sometime, a theft happened at my apartment and thieves took away gold and laptop. My home was vacant first time in last 1 year and that too for just 2 hours. Be aware someone is always watching you. I dont want you guys to go through expereince am going through. Xmas time is around and its high time for these kind of ppl. Be sure to get your back lockers and please dont procrastinate for this. I know banks give waiting time, the easiest way around is to negotiate with other bank and tell them that you will shift your salary account if they give you locker right away. Indian and Pakistani ppl are targeted for Gold at their home.
I hope you guys have happy xmas and safe new year.

Is your superintendent's last name Dale? Was the apartment broken or opened with a master key? We had a similar incident in March. We did not lose much though because we do not keep any valuables at home.

I read sometime ago that there are sophisticated desi burglars in Toronto that use metal detectors and such to find any hidden jewelry and such. I thought this was well known fact since this type of info appeared in the news media there! Good luck to everyone; Happy Holidays... :)

Not only in toronto, recently there are many cases I know from Brampton and Mississauga where desi apartments are specifically targeted and the most unfortunate part is that Police doesn't show any interest to nab the culprits, they are just making paperworks so that insurance claims can be made.
Even property management doesn't show any concen to prevent these type of incidents.

This is not India. I have seen police in India take pride in catching thieves.
The total crime rate per capita of canada is 75.49 for every 1000 people. For india the stastic says it is 1.633 for every 1000 people.

Country wise, India has second lowest crime rate.

The ones who lost the money/jewels here to thieves will regret for coming to this country for sure.
