Hi Everybody...

A friend of mine (a Canadian Citizen) here in Canada for several years was recently denied entry to the US because he had unpaid NY State traffic tickets. These tickets are about 20 years old.

Before 9/11, he had no problem with entrying the US, however, now he does.

He had to pay the fines and an additional service cost.

Yes, I know that the traffic tickets should have been paid, but that is besides the point. In those years, the US tickets never affect the Ontario driving record. Thus people were not paying them.

Now, has anyone else been through such circumstances? If so, how to you resolve them?

just go and pay it bro!

sooner or later he will get ya. i did not pay 100 dollars fine outta trafic violation for more than 20 years but i know it is still in ma file and waiting for the right moment to come out. carry cash or "VISA" all the time.
