Dear CDs,
What are the pros and cons of buying a Dodge Caravan Vs Honda Odyssey--2009 models?
Which one is better in terms of price, maintenance and mileage?
Thanks in advance!
Honda:
Moe luxurious
More $'s
More reliable than Caravan
Caravan:
Will cost 50% of the cost of Honda
If you change transmission oil changed every 50K (regardless of what is written in the manual) then it is as reliable as Honda
Cheaper interior (more hard plastics)

Caravan has had a history of notorious transmissions. Seems to have improved tremendously. Other than that, you'll get a decent vehicle for lot lower price than Honda.

The Dodge Caravan is a terrible car.
It is underpowered and has very poor pick-up.
The last row of seats has very little space.
It can fit only 2 adults or 2 car seats.
The interior is cheap plastic, like other lower end Dodge cars.
The only thing I liked is the underneath storage (the "stow-and-go" version).
I'd suspect reliability is a lot less than the Honda, but then it is less than half the cost as well.
I suppose you can buy two Caravans to get about the same life out of them than 1 Odyssey.
I'd say if you can shell out the dough now, go for the Odyssey.
