One day trip to Montreal

Hi

What all places/things should be (or can be) seen during a one-day trip to Montreal?
Are there any notable tourist places in the US, which is within easy driving distance from Montreal?

you mean one day montreal sightseen and US places together? For one day Montreal st patrick and notre dame church, old montreal by evening and olympic tower and botanical garden in day time are good to see. Nearest US destination is burlington airport with huge mall so not for sightseen.

After spending the night in Montreal, we are actually planning to visit any nearby tourist place (if there is any......) in the US the next day.
