My employment will be terminated today due to two safety violations in the last 6 months in a manufacturing facility.I have not yet received any ROE from the employer yet.The violation happened when the equipment was down for maintenance. In once case I erroneously stepped into a zone that I should have locked out even though the equipment was down for maintenance.Even the other fraction happened when the equipment was down for maintenance.
To claim EI will this fall under misconduct / gross negligence?
I do not want to make any misrepresentation in my claim.
Thanks

Yes Dimple,I have too apply for EI in Ontario.Man..EI has a total section online for people who had problems due to safety violation. You go through like 10 -15 screens of checkboxes, radio buttons and text boxes in the EI application.
EI has a phone no u can call and ask..
I dont think u can find many cases like urs..
Either case u should receive ROE if u were working in canada
