Hi
We are not catholics, but would like to admit our child in a catholic school in Mississauga. Not only is the school very near to where we live, its also one of the good schools available in this area.
Normally, the catholic school system by rule does not admit any non-catholics for the elementary school years, but is there a way out of that?
If we approach the Trustee or the Principal with request for admission, can they waive the eligibility conditions for a child who is non-catholic?
Thanks

Exactly my thoughts!!!! Isn't this a form of discrimination, just like the apartheid system that they had in S Africa??
In India, at least one can get admission into a Christian school, even if one is a Hindu/Muslim/Buddhist.
The media needs to pick up on this, and then maybe the decision makers will wake up and take notice.

I heard these catholic schools are funded by Tax dollors of all Canadians - then why such discrimination :
If you are a hindu and your tax money goes to Run such schools then your kids has right to go to any catholic school
is it any wise difference in study between Catholics school and regular school or in private school?
Like study wise they are way much better than regular school or what?
if this is the true than Canada is creating two or may be three kind of category in future, one is high ended study people like who studied in Catholics school, 2nd level is for private school and 3rd level is public school.
what i am understanding that Syllabus for boards are the same every where, but may be i am wrong??
