Hello,
I am looking to fly to Delhi from Toronto for a few weeks in the summer. It looks like an Air India direct flight costs around 400-500 lesser than Lufthansa/Jet Airways. I have not flown Air India for almost a decade, after experiencing long delays, poor inflight service, etc. Now with this new direct flight, I am tempted. Have any of you tried their YYZ-DEL direct service? How is it? I will be flying economy.
Good food would be nice, but punctuality is important, as I will need to catch a connecting flight from Delhi.

My mother in law flew in Del to YYZ couple of week ago and she liked the schedule. She had a connection from HYD to DEL and everything was ok. She liked the food.
Negatives - per her, broken faucets in washrooms and dirty toilet. Her luggage didn't come and was delayed by 3 days.

Just came back from India from Jet airways Del to YYZ and YYZ to Del. Overall food was terrible and again same thing toilets were dirty too. They gave me 1 Paratha Dal Rice n Sabji for dinner, when I asked for second paratha...they didnt have it..For me 1 is not enough..
Next time I will either go AI OR other carrer but will never take Jet again.

Seems like 9W-Jet Airways is not offering anymore similar service like they used to offer in begining on YYZ route.
Do not expect too much from Jet or AI. Jet has started to match the standard of AI. Food is worst in Jet and their check in service is brutal. BUT both of these flights are short timing (Jet takes 16 hours including 2 hrs stay at Brussel) and AI is 14 hours non-stop. Either of these are good options to Delhi.
