Food was good and many of the items are actually introduced for the first time in GTA (maybe in Canada even) - Chinese Bhel, Vada Pav, Dabeli, Cold coffee with Icecream, GOLA..etc.. We tried a few items and they were all above average. I liked the chinese bhel very much and my kids couldnt have enough of the GOLA (we limited them to 2 on this visit). Wife tried KHADA Pav bhaji with Amul butter - very close to Mumbai taste (you can't match the taste of PAV from a Mumbai bakery).
Nice friendly place reminds me of the fast food places we used to visit in Mumbai - the service there was a bit faster than here - could be because here every item is made after the order is placed. The waiter actually came past a few times to check if we enjoyed the food...
Planning the next visit..
People from Mumbai can relate to their taste...

I have two things to convey you. ofcourse food at Jalsa is outstanding, but following should be taken care of,
1) you are giving away coupans/promotions on facebook but last time during our visit, one of the server refuse to recognize it. After long chat and involving others, she declares that it happens, we may not know what is promoted on internet!! So coupans are always welcome but let all your staff know what it is so we dont waste our time and energy on explaining and reexplaining.
2) quantity is not enough for this price, but I wouldnt complain much because I trust quality is being maitained in Jalsa kitchen. After reading health department's warnings for some of those 'famous' restaurents, I would prefer to pay little extra for quality.
Hi Folks
There is a new Restaurant recently opened at same place where Dosa Corner (Guru Laxmi) used to be i.e. 2580 Shapard Ave, Newin Center Mall, Dundas/Hwy 10 South East Corner. Did anybody tried food there
We went to Jalsa again yesterday. Food was awesome as usuall. 2 complaints.. one minor and one a very big one..
1)Minor: The gravy in the paneer frankie has not warm enough...(i guess didnt warm it up enough after taking it out from the fridge).. it was tasty though..
2) Big One: For 2 of us we paid 30$. The quantity of food is really not the same as the cost we pay. Chilli cheese toast is either 4.95 or 5.95.. It is basically 2 pieces of bread with cheese and green pepper on it. It tastes awesome but the quantity is ridiculously small... MY sincere advisee. dont lower the cost..but increase the quantity of food..REALLY...
My wife said this "Khana acha tha..leking quantity beakar"
We are fond of eating out and on an average usually eat out 3 dinners out of 7 in a week. (Sat, Sun and a Weekday).
There are some restaurants we frequent (Nando, Brampton Dragon, Bukhara, Doaba etc and the expensive ones we go rarely (once in 3-4 months e.g. Olive garden in states, Avani, nirvana, milestones types)
So we may have to add this restaurant to the rarely category instead of frequently
