Hi friends,
We don't live in Canada so my question is really naive, we have been to Gerrard Street in Toronto and shopped for groceries and enjoyed Indian food there. For our recent trip to Canada we were planning to visit Mississauga and I was thinking is there a similar place like Gerrard street in Mississauga? A street or neighborhood with Indian restaurants, Indian groceries? We were also planning to see Square one mall, is it a good mall? Are there other malls to be seen?
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks....................Jona
Quote:Not to the same extent as Gerrard St. but you can travel along Hurontario St (aka Hwy. 10) between Eglinton and Dundas.

Hi Jona !
The closest Indian Bazaar is at Albion and Islington . It's in Etobicoke and not that far from SquareOne . You will be able to enjoy savoury food at Brar at reasonable prices . There are plenty of indian jewellers , grocery stores , North / South indian restaurants and emporiums if you are looking to but traditional dresses.
But remember if you liked "Gerrard" than visit it , It might be worth to drive some extra km.
Good luck

I do not like Gerrard St . - prefer Albion Islington all way - in terms of eating places , shopping , parking etc . - Rajdhani is a preferred restaurant .

If you are expecting something along the lines of the Mall of America in Minneapolis or Georgia Mall, you would be disappointed.
You /could/ instead try Yorkdale Mall, Eton Center and Heartland Town Center.
I personally find them better than Square 1.
