Though I do share your frustration and views on benefit claims as single mom while husband is earning well abroad thereby taking advantage of our tax dollars. But other side of it is that the husband may not find a suitable job here anyway. Ask TK for details if you would like. And I am sure he may not be enjoying the separation with family either. At least he is earning decent living and letting his family live decently.

Now what if OP is not claiming the benefit as single mom and equally sharing the tax burden, your assumption could have a very negative impact on a pregnant lady. She simply asked questions about living conditions and if we don't answer eventually she is going to find the answers on her own, may be even better ones.
