Wonder why Icecube who posted three messages defending the fatwa has gone silent?
May be the ice melted and he has nothing to defend
Salman Rushdie should have followed M.F. Hussain example to prove his creative thinking and intellectual credentials. Had he denigrated Hinduism and Hindu Gods, he would have got anytime anyplace entry visa into India under the Congress government and the support of all our jolna bag intellectuals. Surprising why these intellectuals do not clamor for keeping Satanic Verses in Delhi University syllabus, the way they did about a book that put down Ramayana. Anyway, Rushdie is getting all the popularity he needs without doing any writing.

The self proclaimed intellectuals and defenders of free speech of India-Arundhati Roy,Mahesh Bhatt,Javed Akhthar have not spoken on this issue at all-they are quick to jump and criticise the Hindu community in defending MF Hussain but when it comes to speak about Salman Rushdie they are silent.
A couple of years ago Taslima Nasreen was kicked out of India and transported to a unknow location-she was attacked with shoes and even hit while she was attending an event in Hyderabad-Again the guys who perpetrated this are followers of the most peaceful religion on earth.

You cannot hide behind empty rheotoric-u started off defending the fatwa-this forum has questions about it-
What will be your reaction if u happen to meet Salman Rushdie?
Was this much violence necessary for just a book?
If some body criticises your father do u go after him like a rabid dog?

Whether I meet him or not, I always pray Allah to give my brother Rushdie (and also me and you) the true understanding and significance of the beloved of Allah. As is evident from the history, how Allah changed the hearts of those who hated His Beloved to those who would die for him…As Allama Iqbal puts it in the following Ashaar….
Tu na mit jaye ga Tooran ke mit jaane se

The intoxication of wine is not related to the glass which holds it
