I just can't believe that it is 10 degree in Toronto right now and it was snowing yesterday. We are almost in February now. Are we going to get a long winters than usual this year?

Welcome to Canada.
It will be - 10 one day and + 10 the next. That is the plus point of Canada, the great white north.
When I immigrated in April 2002, one day it was -3 deg. cent. So the next day, I put my jacket and went out. It was + 19 deg. cent.
I did not know at that time that the weather will be forecast in the news and that you can dress based on that.
As there is a saying, as the sun comes out, the skirts/shorts get shorter !

Peace

With more and more Desis immigrating they are bringing more of the weather in their baggage.

While northern part of India is having record snowfall.

Weather Canada has apologized for it's wrong weather forecast.

Spring has already arrived and tomorrow being ground hog day it'll be interesting to see what the groundhog will see ?.

This year is exceptionally warmer than normal. So far, so good..
probably, we may have colder days ahead in March/April.

As per 680 News this morning, we will experience higher than normal temps from now thru to Mar / Apr

This is good news for someone like me who is experiencing first winters of Canada.

Is April also a month of snow or severe weather here in Toronto?

Guess some desis are taking back cold weather to India.:) Weather patterns are changing .... I am sure the winters are going to be less harsh in Canada as time moves on.

Good news for Ontario.
Willie didn't see his shadow. An early indication of spring by groundhog for Ontario.
