Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism also do it. They do free assessment of academic credentials within 8 weeks, just in case, if these things matter to you.

Hello r_jony,
As most of them suggested so far PEO is your best bet . I would also like to know what sort of jobs you are applying for . If you happen to be in the field of IT ( rather computer science) the organization whose door you can tap is CIPS ( Canadian Information Processing Society) which is equivalent of engineers PEO ( i hope you know CS is much different here from engineering) . What this would mean is you get eligible to be certified as an ISP ( like the PEngg.) and this is also recognized in australia and new zealand . Talks are going on with the the British equivalent .
People may argue we have PENgg with CS background ( the degree we are talking about being Computer Science which is offered in faculty of engineering in india ) , but they have or will have to take exams and other things like course evaluations . PEngg is specifically targeted at the\\\\\\\" king \\\\\\\" branches of engineering like Civil , Electrical and Mechanical . The work done by these engineers is much different from the people in IT field and they can be held responsible ( suing is what i mean here).
Whereas CIPS is more of an IT oriented group . It has certifications for various levels of jobs in the field like networking , programming etc. Just to make sure you read in between my lines CIPS certifies and PEngg licences . Lot of difference there worth noting . But what i understand most of the people in the IT sector wouldnt care . Moreover CIPS have levels of certification ( if only that money mint orgranization Microsoft could have stopped using Certified engineer in its exams ) . No engineering organization in canada would buy the fact that someone sits with books and softwares for a period and passes some exam and calls himself an engineer . Result a university in the maritimes ( i guess New finland university ) had its software engineering ( i still believe there isnt a father and mother for this field ) branch shut down by the PE there .
So i suggest CIPS for you . As in all probabilities i see you would apply for IT jobs . Moreover CIPS certifications should be less stringent also .Well, if you are ok with submitting your course contents , taking ethics exams ( PPE) and then if you can get a waiver for 3 years of relevant work experience ( 3/4 is the max you get as a foreign trained engineer ) and then stay as an EIT for 1 year , sure you can go for PEngg .
How good is WES Canada credentials evaluation service ?
Does it really help in Job search ?
Please advise.
Thanks.
