Best avenue for investment in India for Canadians

As you are aware, the Greek situation is taking the European market down.
The Indian rupee is Rs. 54.50 to a USD and will get weaker by the day. The Indian stock market (so called) crashed today.
As you guys might be aware, Indians are loaded with cash, land, investments, cars, Gold etc... as on date.
so what would you recommend as the best investment in india in the next 5-10 years.

Will it be :
1. Convert everything into cash and save in the bank
2. Invest in Land
3. Invest in Gold
4. Invest in the indian stock market
5.Invest in Indian mutual funds
6.Invest in USD, Euro, AUs $ or the like
7. Run away to Australia as a citizen
8. Gulf job and save in Gold or US D
9. Invest in USA stock market

What would be the most likely and save avenue as things stand right now.

1 is rather a bad option. Keeping CAD in bank here will be better than keeping INR over there. Also the option is good only for those who are savers and can control the temptations. (I am yet to see Vegas ! )

Option 2 for sure is best bet.

For a reminder what are the land/plot/house buying rules for the Canadian Citizens ? Can they invest ?

Spread over 2, 3, 4, 5 - if the stock market is low - good time to get in.

Do: 2, 3, 4, 5 and once it's done, settle in Australia.
