Hello CD members,
I am leaving for india on 24th. of dec. 2005.
I want to take the equivalent Indian Rupee for CAD 2200.
I donot want to convert it at Bangalore airport (where i land) since the rate will not be that good.
Can CD members tell me where i can get Indian Rupees in cash for Canadian Dollars. If no such facility is available, Can CD members tell me where to take DD in indian rupees where the bank or institution is open late hours in Toronto. For e.g. I canot take it in SBI which closes at 4:00 pm.

Hello!
I generally am able to leave office only at 8:30 pm. So this alternative is not possible. Also are SBI's rates attractive?

Dear CD members!
Can no one help me in this . I just have 2 more days to convert the money. Will the Sri Lankan Hawala shops at Dundas - Hurontario able to dispense indian rupees? For Tamil Nadu, they can send money to Trichy, Chennai and Madurai. but i am not near any of these places.
Also for the trip to the airport, I have booked a van through the internet (known as Airport Limo Service). They will pick me, my wife and baby (with infant car seat) from QEW-Islington and drop me at the airport. I have 4 suitcases and 3 bags (incl. one for the baby). They charge $51 ( i am not sure if Taxes are included in that. Tips will be an extra.). Is that a good deal?

SBI has a branch at Dixie/Meyerside in Mississauga. I've found their rates competitive

Some of my friends have tried them and they are good. No personal experience though.
Regarding the Van, confirm if the luggage and no. of passengers is Ok with taxi company.
