Looks like its not only GM, there are few other companies in Canada seriously thinking of bringing their IT back after realizing everything depends on IT.

So GM is saving from facebook ads and putting into IT ?? or is it desperate measure to show to its saviors that 'action is being taken' !!

In my view,
The reversal of IT outsourcing , in case it has to happen, will happen as a wave same as outsourcing happened with well thought well promoted well published well articulated business benefits and not by impulsive decisions like this. One odd case GM is !

Awesome video. I like this as an entertainment. Jeff Daniels had always impressed from the days of D&D / Speed.

The envious neighbors of USA had been impatiently waiting for the big brother to catch the dust, but no contender sorry....

This is a noticeable trend, but its unsustainable over the long run..

I somehow think everyone should watch this (atleast once)
3 & half min of well spent valuable time..

So long the capitalism aka globalization exists, the outsourcing is to stay... we know that the former is not going to go any where.. so do globalization aka outsourcing.. the new generation has to find something, the world had always been evolving with cars, machines, electronics etc., etc., some lost some gained, its going to go the same way..

Its part of the game the US destabilized USSR first, then the Euro is seriously thinking of dismantling, Indian currency which was second in the BRIC was shaken so do its economy. Something would come up against China soon.. basically all will sum up to the bolstering of the US supremacy..

US is well equipped with something, that others can't penetrate easily... let us suck it up as we're living in different region..

Globalization is good in someways. Opportunities should exist in many countries rather than in one country . This will keep the competition open and there will be no monopoly of a single country. Take an example of manufacturing, It is now China which has the monopoly hence the quality is deteriorated with cheap price. In the past when it was US/Canada the quality was excellent but at very high price.

Even if country like India starts booming at an uncontrolled rate then 400 million middle class people will jump to upper middle class and eat up world's resources very quickly.

IMO, no country should be number one.
