Please browse the forum - Generally some dentists offer the first treatment complimentary - call some dentists and ask them if it is so with them - I am sure you will find some .. Please use the search feature in 'charcha' ... Pasting below some threads ....Read them and confirm first free consultation / treatment before visiting .... It is a money making business and this is like an advertisement .

Thanks Sir, I have gone through all the forums, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions largely for dental/health insurance plans that they have used and are satisfied with, whether it is advisable to get dental plans on ones own..am not sure how financially viable it is. also being a weekend i may need to go to a doctor asap.. wondering if it is possible if anyone could suggest a dentist that also looks at patients on sundays.
Thanking you in advance.

You will have to do your own findings as each situation is subjective ... However check out gms.ca ... I have used them in the past for health insurance / travel insurance & would not hesitate to recommend them .

You have to be there at 07:30 with all of your Immigration papers and anything that will identify you as to who you are and ask them to provide you with help. If the tooth needs to be removed they will also tell you. They will also provide you with Antibiotic Prescription if the situation calls for. They are your best help.

Since I do not know where you are, You find all of the details from the links provided and appear there at the MOBILE FREE CLINIC location.

Good Luck.

IF You cannot afford. :
Eligibility for dental services

Good oral health is important for overall health. Yet, for some, regular dental care may not be affordable.

How do I know if I am eligible?
If you live in Toronto and cannot afford to pay for a dentist, contact one of our dental clinics near you. Our staff speak many languages and are happy to assist you. Assessments for eligibility must be done at a Toronto Public Health dental clinic.

Free dental care. :

Toronto Public Health offers free dental services in our clinics. We also work with many community health centres, community agencies and private dentists throughout the city to make sure you get the treatment you need.

Can everyone get free dental care?
We offer dental services to eligible children and youth (0-17 years), adults enrolled in selected Toronto Public Health programs, and seniors (65 years and older).

Find out if you are eligible.

What services are available?
We offer basic dental services such as:

examinations
x-rays
fillings
cleaning
some root canal treatments
extractions
emergency and urgent dental care to treat issues like dental pain or cavities

Full or partial dentures are also covered but clients are asked to pay the full laboratory cost for dentures or denture repair.

How do I book an appointment?
Contact one of our dental clinics near you. Our staff speak many languages and will help determine if you are eligible for service. You must come into a Toronto Public Health clinic in person to be assessed. You will be required to bring documentation to determine eligibility. The type of documentation required to prove eligibility varies depending on your situation, so always call first.

If you are not eligible for free services, you may qualify for dental care at a reduced cost at another facility.

They will only do one tooth per day. May have to return back or go back again onto the line to get the second one. Hope the line is not long. Or come back the next day.

Pick all the free literature and Insurance company brochures while standing in the line.
