IPTV seems to be the best way to go if you have good data plan.

1) Please refer a popular IPTV service. Looking for Telugu and Hindi package.

1) Rogers has given me a 200GB/month. will this be sufficient for IPTV connection?

Thanks

Sri.

just buy : Android MX TV Box ( if you are not technical person then buy with pre installed add-ons )

Which Addon you use for Hindi channels? Are these Live channels or the recordings of the past episodes? How's the picture quality when connected to the TV?

I am also contemplating buying a Raspberry PI and installing Kodi on it. I am all for cutting the cord and manage only with Youtube and Netflix, but have to get a constant Cable for my parents that are not technically oriented and computer savvy. I tried to teach them, but they are more comfortable with the tried and tested (Remote - channel up/down, volume up/down).

I am paying for Cable just for 5 Indian channels, out of which only Sony is what remains on most of the time. I don't even watch any of them, as they are all a big NOISE box with the annoying background music. The new trend being the historic drams that are crappiest I have ever seen.

Anyway. I will update how Raspberry pi will fair.

I have been using XBMC and recently upgraded to Kodi for the past 5 years. I use TV on Desi Zone which is available on the Superrepo directory on Kodi (you have to configure the path). I had it on a jailbroken AppleTV2 before but for the past one year I have had it on Amazon FireTV Stick. It is a dual core streaming device that connects directly to your TV HDMI. Not available in Canada yet. But have to say for USD39.99 it is the best available android streaming device available in the market (US Market).

I have received great reviews for XBMC (now Kodi) from a friend of mine. He had got in installed from his SIL who seems to have no spare time for setting it up for me. Can you help me on this? Chai and dinner on me!!

I saw this classified:

http://www.canadiandesi.com/poster.php?BID=99506&CID=&wanted_available=&country=&level1=&province=&level2=&city=London&level3=" target="_blank">http://www.canadiandesi.com/poster.php?BID=99506&CID=&wanted_available=&country=&level1=&province=&level2=&city=London&level3=

It looks like a scam to me as on the Roku itself there is no such channel. Have anyone used them?

If they are genuine they are definitely better than sling.

Hello CD's!

Writing on CD after a long long time! Hope to be more regular now.

I had dish earlier with Dream box. I recently moved and instead of paying $100 for installation again I have decided to go with IPTV since I keep hearing dish is going to be gone anytime.

What I want is Hindi channels, English channels and movies. I called few guys from friends references and kijiji. What I have got so far is that box costs between 125-170 and monthly around $12-20. There are so many different boxes available and every provider claiming their box is better than the others. Can someone enlighten me what these different boxes are and any recommendations?

I have no technical background but if there are instructions available, I can manage somewhat techy stuff.

Thanks in advance!
