Its a Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System. The CAIPS note gives you the details that when and what immigration officer has entered data about you in the system.

and how do i find what is on my file at this stage or rather at what stage such entries are made and will I be able to see online what those entries are?
at which stage you are ? and why do you need caipsnotes ? have you gone through the above link that has been posted ?

You have to order for your CAIPS report. CAPIS report is available only through CIC’s Ottawa office. So you need a agent who will get CAIPS on behalf of you, you need to pay fees for this. If you have any relative or friends then you can order it without any agent.
There are online agents too refer to the above sites, which might be helpful.
