I have heard lot of speculation that now a days citizenship application takes lot of time and prolong delays and back and forth communication delays due to missing information or unclear copies of documents send.
my question is that by rule anyone who has completed 3 yrs. in Canada can apply for citizenship but when submission of document we need to give 4 years of back info which is hassle sometimes as we need to translate passport stamps and give evidence of old entry exit. is it a good idea to wait and apply after 4 years of stay in Canada instead of 3 years.
Apply once you have completed 1095 days.
Do your home work well.
4 years back history is not really a hassle. Open the passport, see the stamps, recall your visits and make a chart for your record also to know the exact days you lived in Canada. It takes few hours but it is required to do that home work. Do not try to claim the days you are not in Canada by other means. Then it will be a smooth affair normally without delays/issues.
