This incident happened at Square One at around 6 PM on Friday.
I had been to Square One on Boxing Day shopping. Many of us observed this in the very center of Square One.
Right in the middle of the Food Court on the floor below Sephora there is a Chinese take out place. The door for this take out place faces the mall.
At around 6 Pm an Isamic lady put a mat right on the door and started praying in the open.
Many of us stopped and watched this lady's act.
The interesting thing was the Chinese chef was trying to open the door to come into the mall.
But this lady was praying and he was on the other side of the door pushing but could not open the door.
May be after 5 minutes this lady stood up and removed the mat and the Chinese chef opened the door and realized that there was a person behind the door who was blocking the door. He threw up his hand and when he realized that many of us were watching this spectacle he quietly dashed away.
Shouldn't religion like SEX be kept private?.
Prayer is a private affair. It is between you and God. Should it be performed in the center of a shopping mall where thousands are doing mad dash to get their bargains.
What would have happened if there was a fire in the Chinese kitchen and the chef was running for his life?.
There many places which are isolated in the mall where it could be performed in privacy.
What would happen in the name of religion an Idiot like ME with his friends start doing Ganesh Aarti with bells ringing, conch blowing with shouting of Ganapati Bapa Mourya! Man gala Murti Mourya!. in the well below escalator near Sephora/food court in the name of religious freedom? And extending the very same argument.

Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
Have seen in long distance trains our muslim brothers offering their prayers and thought high about them. However, safety too is important and blocking the door could have been avoided.

Canada is a very accomodating country. We are not racist like the Aussies.
This too will pass.
Let us move on to other more important matters before us like lack of professional jobs and the increasing price rise.
