Here below is a link to online petition to Prime Minister & Home Minister of India to conduct CBI probe on mysterious death of IAS officer DK Ravi. The fingers are being raised towards state Home Minister, under whom the current CID probe is going on. The Police has already declared and registered the case as suicide.
Over 2 Lac people already signed it in one day.

I am watching it live pretty much. It's a tragedy to be honest in our country. Looks like powerful netas are involved. Remember Durga Shakti Nagpal in U.P? Thank god she is alive whereas Ravi got killed due to his honesty. Look at the numbers. He collected Rs. 120 crores in unpaid commercial taxes for the state in four months whereas in the past 12 years the tax collection was about Rs. 140 crores. He had targeted land mafia who are supported by netas.
Is there a lesson here? May be. Don't go for a govt job if you are honest.
Nothing will come out of it. There will be a hue & cry for a couple of weeks from the media & public, everything will settle down after that. And then we can wait for the murder of the NEXT honest IAS/IPS officer or his transfer/demotion/firing
Countless CBI & CID probes are launched each & every year in India, and most of them go nowhere. Its just a PR stunt to appease the public. Those guys are just as corrupt & incompetent as the rest of the State police. So don't put them on a high pedestal & expect justice from them.
And even if a politician is convicted, he barely goes to jail & even the few days he spends in Jail, he gets royal treatment with amazing food & services & visitors & everyone saluting him/her in the jail. Then he/she gets released on a medical ground & goes scot free to enjoy his corrupt wealth.
Jayalalitha is a prime example of that ( so are all other politician cases ). It took more than 20 yrs to convict her. I think the case was going on since 1994. She was laughing & enjoying life/wealth/power etc for the last 20 yrs, while this was going on ..Court Kacheri , CBI inquiries, CID enquiries et al.
After 20 yrs she finally gets convicted. She goes to jail for a couple of days, just to show the media & to fool the public. Nothing but a PR stunt. Even for those few days she gets ROYAL tretment inside the jail.
After couple of days , she is out ..never to be touched again & its business as usual
Innocent Common man going to jail & a Criminal VIP , Politician, Businessman going to jail are 2 different things in India.
Innocent Common man will get convicted within minutes by the corrupt police , corrupt judges with false cases & false complaint, & will spend the rest of his life behind bars, for crimes he didn't commit. Will even be tortured in there bot mentally & physically.
Adam,
Agree with that.
if you do remember, there was a 14 story building which collapsed in Chennai during construction.
It was designed by a Draftsman who had some Architects as his employee.
They arreasted the draftsman and the owner. Jayalalitha promised fast action. She appointed a one man judge to generate a report.
Since it was designed by a Draftsman who said that he was an Architect, there was a lot of hue and cry from my fellow Architects.
We discussed for 2 weeks. I myself put forth many points that the one man judge must look into.
After 6 months now, there is no progress. No one is talking about it anymore.
The Draftsman is out on bail and is now designing building. They say that the owner of the building is related to the DMK or the ADMK.
Public memory is very short in Tamil Nadu, if not India.

Just in my facebook, I got some new news from Mr. Subramaniyam Swamy about Dr. ravi.
Now the CBI (central Govt.) has been entrusted with the investigation but vital clues (if any) might have been lost by the numerous people who entered his flat after his death (VVIP's)
Allegation 1 : Police are going to probe why Ravi called a woman batchmate 44 times on morning of the day he died. The whole case has now been given a personal twist citing his phone calls. It's supposedly a case of suicide following an alleged 'one sided affair' with a fellow batchmate IAS officer.
2. : Some say three men came to meet him, going by some income tax officers and are yet to be identified.
3. : Kharge's Daughter Priyadarshini got Allotted 3280 Sqft land for Rs 2Lakh (only) and DK Ravi opposed the deal.
Similarly, the home minister of Karnataka from Congress (KJ George) owns "Embassy group" which has lots of software parks, SEZs and other complexes in Bangalore .This IAS officer had raided Embassy group just 4 days back. Within minutes of his getting discovered dead, KJ george announced that it is a suicide.
This statement sums it all very well (the indian mentality) : Sadly in couple of days, media will lose interest in DK Ravi, and it will be back to business as usual. Will we forget this till another such case comes up?

Couple of netas were hanging around in his apt after they came know that he was dead. Many files and a laptop have been taken away, probably destroyed by this time. Very shoddy crime scene investigation, due to lack of training and experience (and interference). IMO, the autopsy may be tampered or ghost written.
You are a biggest fool if you think there's a due process in India, and CBI will conduct the investigation, inquiry free and just.
Everything will die down in a couple of days, unfortunately. My blood is boiling, and I don't mince my words when I say that India is still heck of a corrupt country, despite of how much they shout Mars mission, IITs, IIMs, IAS, India shining (only for middle class and urbanites) from the rooftops.
Utterly disgusting. For God's sake, a family has lost their most beloved member.
Get your Modi to fix that. He's after all 'Har Har', and can do anything.
Nevertheless, I signed the petition.
