before criticizing... i would recommend people read the content.
the petition is an attempt to show support in numbers.... it will not achieve anything substantial..
It is an attempt to show another side of the coin... one that has been ignored by the media. People who are against Musharraf need to really ask why this emergency was imposed and put his actions into context with the situation prevalent in Pakistan
another interesting blog showing this side of the argument can be viewed at:
http://musharrafsupporters.wordpress.com/
As for people who think this post should not be allowed, you are advocating limiting freedom of speech and opinion.... the very basis of your argument against Musharraf's imposition of emergency. I would appreciate educated and constructive comments not hot headed rambling against the argument. If you have something constructive to say please do. You do not contribute anything by just saying you hate Musharraf, theres nothing new about it , so do alot of people ...so what. It sounds silly.
Again please read the text in the petition and argue against its content.

Mods have nothing to do with this..there is nothing harmful in the post.
Anyways, I cant understand who the petition is addressed to? Who will take cognigance of this petition even if you have a million signatures?
Since he has already declared the elections for Feb 15..it is upto the people of pakistan to decide his fate...
All the best though not many people agree with OP's view.

Are you there?
Honestly I Do not want to know ? And why would someone want to know, who believe in democratic values ?
The entire world know who he is and what kind of person he is ....
I am not sure what you are trying to acheive here... by pursuading us to know more his "GREAT" Story and background.
Are you asking us to Play "Devil's Advocate " for a dictator?

It is easy to preach democratic values without looking at the whole situation in context. If you give 2 minutes of your time to the text of the petition and maybe research the facts a little you may change your opinion on Musharraf. He has advocated a democratic system in Pakistan from the beginning.
What people should understand is the level of corruption that is rampant in Pakistan. If democracy is restored all of a sudden, the same corrupt and incompetent leaders take power putting the country back in the same position. Compare Pakistan's democratic leaders with regards to achievements and their track record to that of Musharraf you will be surprised.
And as for the propaganda question in the previous post. Please, im merely asking people read an online piece of writing and this is posted in the News and Events section. All I ask is that people question the what they here in the media before forming such strong opinions.

It is if he starts a whole slew of new posts all on the same topic. As much as I find the whole premise of supporting someone like Musharraf bewildering, there's nothing that requires this post to be censored.
