Sir :
I am in India but a Canadian Citizen.
I was in Canada for 9 years. The following is my story regarding the hard drinks that one gets all across the world and I am also asking questions for Cd's.
If you like to talk to me, please PM me your contact and I will forward my contact details. We can skype or talk over phone.
My souvenier (if I get it), can be passed on to my dear friends FIDO, SS, Adam or BL. (who ever can collect it.)

***********************************************************************
Hello Cd's,
I live in a part of India which has the greatest per capita consumption of hard drinks in India.
My state preference is :
1. 55% R u m
2. 40% B r a n d y
3. 1 % w i s k e y
5. 2% v o d k a/G i n

Never knew what the effects of hard drinks was and I decided to try.

Line up in a queue near my office. There were 30 people ahead of me and it took me 10 mins to reach to the counter.
Around 98% of those in the line (may be depends on location too) were labourers / low level workers. Around 5% in that were auto drivers. 2% seemed to be middle class youngsters. People came, bought mostly 380 ml or 750 ml of R u m/ B r a n d y, wrapped it in newspapers and left.

Mind it, in my state there are no parlours / b a r space and I have seen people drinking it staright from the bottle in gullys or taking it home to drink.

I bough a 180 ml of Brandy and took it home to drink. After the 180 ml (I have never drunk before). The cost was rs 130 (after all taxes) I did not receive any kick (as people used to say) but i felt my head spinning and feeling very sleepy. As I rose to wash my hands, I could see that I was not able to walk in a straight line. I was drowsy. I came back to my mat and had a very sound sleep.

My question to CD is :
How many of you take hard drinks? We will not talk of beers.
How mucg does it cost in Canada
How often do you take it.
What sort of feeling does it give you?

Murali

Ravi sir,
I would advise you also to put an advt. in CD classified and in Kijiji.com.
It will bring in a lot of viewers.

I once attended a Video game survey done (done by game slots and physically being present in waterloo in the precense of 2 assistant researchers) by the Univ. of Waterloo. They gave me $ 35 + free buiscuits for a 1.5 hour study. I made around $ 250 in that study spread over several days.

So with your souveniers, not sure how many people will respond and that too in an honest way.

Murali
