Again

I have never Heard any NRI paying Taxes to India , but if you do Canada has a tax treaty with India and you can take all the tax paid as a foreign tax credit on your Canadian Tax return ..

Search on net for Canada India tax treaty if you are interested to know more ..

Appreciate ur replies . Can u pls help me in knowing a way in which my wife coming over as Sponsored spouse can get INR converted 2 USD/CAD in India and get them 2 Canada legally !?

just go to the bank and get US $ legally . I think the max limit is about 15K than you can get ..

Actually the limit for new immigrants from India is US $100000 as per RBI guidelines

You might have not heard - but you are required to pay taxes on all your local rupee investments income - and for simple investments like bank deposits, I think it is 32% or 30%, not 20%.

I hope you understand what I mean by local Rupee.
