The OP. should avail all of the opportunities provided to him by the circumstances that he/she is in.
Accept and work at the job with the Indian Citizenship, which he is currently.
Then he has gone through and appeared and obtained the Canadian Citizenship here in Canada. Now he has also applied for the Canadian Passport. He has to obtain the same in due course. Until such time he can utilize the Indian Passport for his movement if any.
Then once he obtains and becomes a Canadian Passport holder, he has to obtain the Visa for his stay there in India, but now as a WORKER on a work Visa. He then becomes mobile with the Canadian Passport.
As regards the Taxes, since he has been away for a few years out of India, he might be in a status called RNOR, which he can explore through a Tax Consultants there. If he has none in the horizon, will be able to put him in touch with a group there in India to help get through the Tax maze there. What ever he has lost up until now is down the tube, if any, because he did not avail the good services of one.
Also New tax rules are being mooted there which will come into force in 2011, April first. It is in a state of flux. He can obtain a lot of info on this subject on the IT web site there in India.

I belive the OP has already twice indicated, in this thread, he is a Canadian citizen. Using Indian passport would therefore violate Indian law.

""I have to join by January 1st.2010.Which of the following is faster for processing to fly to India before January1st. ? I have to decide before I get the Canadian Passport by December 8th.""
IF PUSH COMES TO A SHOVE To be mobile, he has to have One Passport or the Other for his travels. He is entitled to travel if circumstances call for. It is solely at his own discretion either to use the current Passport or the one he is going to obtain on the 8th of December, if he cannot wait till then use the Indian Passport. ALSO, He can obtain the Canadian Passport in twentyfour Hours if he is a Canadian Citizen with appropriate documents that it calls for. His status is in transition and it has not materialized fully, due to the time it takes. Do be specific what law and how? It is a gray area that one fears to trod.

1. PIO
2. OCI
I am thinking to apply for PIO card after getting the Canadian Passport, if PIO is faster and than I may apply for OCI from India in due course.
