Disapperance of a desi contractor after completing our work

Hello everyone,
I have question.
Recently we had bathroom leakage and our carpet got wet out side the another bathroom. we call desi hanyman who suggested to change tile and would be fine. we did so and removed carpet and did laminate flooring.
The same person did some cement filling in our den.
After few days the plaster got crack all over and a new lemiate floor puffed up. (leminate done by another professonal) did very good job.
We are trying to call that desi guy who keep giving excuses to come and have look but did not come and now even not picking up phone.
Any suggestion friend we paid aroung $ 500 to him and our $ 2500 leminate floor is spoil because of him.
Even he did not give receipt for things he bought and promise.
This guy, THE DESI, did not appear from NO WHERE. So, you know how you got hold of him. It could be through a referral or through a NEWSPAPER AD. Please contact the source and see if you can get the details from them. If you can, then, we have a fair chance of getting him back again. But this time we can trap him.
All we do is find a similar job for him or some thing that he fixed for you. We also can call him quoting the same AD or the source. Now when he comes we ask him for a quote. We also get a picture of him and ask you to identify him, at a later date. We also note his truck or his car/ vehicle model and make and note the number. Then we can identify him with a few of the details that we now have.
BUT, this is setting a trap for him. We have no recourse for all of the costs and the damage that you notice at you place after his fixing. But we can get him out of business.
If so, drop us a PM and give us as much detail as you can about how you found him and a small description of that individual to see if it is the same person. We can take it from there.
Sorry to hear about the poor job and your loss. Next time we know better and how not to get a repair done by a few of the fly by night repair guys.

You can't do much about this financial loss and don't waste time. Call professional people this and get things fixed though it costs you more.
Your post above is not clear as to how the leak in the bathroom was fixed. Before confirming the leak is fixed, why would you change the flooring?
No receipt, cash payment. Pretty much nothing can be done regarding your loss.

By paying cash without invoice , saving HST , you took a risk. Risk is now realised. Not sure what is your expectation now from this guy ? refund ? or you want him to again do some work in your house ?
Better get it done from a professional who can do it right.
Btw from your post, its not clear what exactly was done and where. I almost read rogue handyman suggested carpet to be removed, tiles to be installed, but laminate flooring was done by another good professional in washroom which is now puffed due to cracks in the plaster !!. I really want to see that !
Hi every one was very kind of you guys to reply me.
I did call the guy and he answer since we made as a private call. He is cheater and not willing to come and repair again, he did not do good job and fix 15 tile in the bathroom and did little plaster in our den. As you guy know bathroom is leaking and plaster has come off it means he is not professonal I got his number from kijiji. He was very rude and not willing to come, repair and give receipt I found him too expensive he charged $ 450 for doing this little job. His name is Safdar so would like you all to be aware of him.
Can you guys advice in this situation and suggest me any other good guy who can fix the problem.

That is what is disrupting all of the services, because it looks like an XTRA Long week end after weekends. So, the guy that I know who does minor repairs, not a plumber, said that he could not understand the problems that you are encountering with the description that you have given above. So he says that he will have to drop in and take a good luck and see the botched up job and ask you for the description of the problem, while he is there on site.
If the problem is with the plumbing, then he says that he cannot handle it and he is not a suitable person. But still he will tell you all about the work done by the previous guy.
Also he thinks that you will be busy too with your X-mas celebrations and it is not a suitable time to disrupt your activities and your needed rest as he is also under similar time restraint.
So, do drop me a PM to me and will see how he can co-ordinate his visit to your place to give you a FREE opinion and where you go from there. He will give you Exact Figures if he takes over from there and complete it to your satisfaction. His rates are the lowest that I know.
Alternately, you can find reliable repair persons who will do wonderful work and they are contractors who do it for HOME DEPOT on a regular basis. They know how long the repair will last too.
