Are there any IT (Desi) consultancies in Canada like in the USA, those that will help one candidate get jobs .

Where can i search for them.

Here is a comprehensive list that was made available to us here. I found it for you. Alongside you will also see the details as to how the cross section works. You might find a few additional IT companies in there too. Please be aware that this list is a few years old. Some might have merged or gone out of business.

To classify if they are DESI Companies becomes difficult and it is for you to do the search and it might also place the onus upon you to make a phone call and hear their voices and then identify the individual. The list is too long and slightly old, you be guided by the fact. A few might also have a branch plant across from us.

Also, make a note that they have stopped all of the new entrants into the IT Field in the Immigration category, due to current employment situation here in Canada. No one offers employment to people who are not based in here and also a PR in his own rights.

Good luck in your search.

Hope this list helps you a little.

FH.

Good list and lots to explore. :

1) You must have high language skills. Please see the requirements.

2) Good Education. Please get the same verified as equal here OR what it calls for to upgrade the same to the required level. That is a good step and you will not lose a day here in Canada after landing.

3) Additional skills you have that will provide you with an alternate job or employment, if the bottom falls out of the markets. (This is my suggestion)

4) Explore the availability of a suitable post through an Employer here in Canada. Get to know who are the people who MIGHT employ you after landing. Where are they located. The nearest Major town. What level of employment. The going rate of wage for the opening etc., Please do your own research.

5) The minimum amount of funds required to land in Canada.

6) Do you have a few good friends or acquaintances OR LINKS to a group. Either through the Profession or through the Social Circles.

7) Do you also speak FRENCH, if so at what level. There are hundreds of jobs there, just going for the asking.

Basic Knowledge, Canadian Geography, History or our Politics and Sports etc., will keep you in great standing.

Good Luck.
