What was amazing about her was that she was the ONLY Superstar ( Either Male or Female ), who was a big superstar in BOTH - North & South India !
Even male Hindi super stars like Amitabh Bacchan , SRK, Salmaan Khan, Aamir Khan, Rajesh Khanna etc could never really make it in the South.
Even Madhuri Dixit female super star could never really make it in the South.
And Vice versa - even South super stars like Rajnikanth, Jayalalithaa, N T Rama Rao could never really make it in North India.
Sridevi was the ONLY one - mad it big in both Bollywood & South Indian films, a very rare feat.
to some extent Kamal Hassan managed to do it both in South & North, although he wasn't that big in the North, but very big in South.
