I will be glad to receive a response if any one of you have applied thro london

hi,
I applied thru London in April 2001 and got an interview in mid 2002.
When you received your file number, they must have mentioned somewhere on the when the approximate time you will be called for an interview.
Usually the time frame mentioned on the card is pretty accurate.
Good Luck.

My File ....
is transfer to LONDON from Syria ...how long i have to wait from them

you have to check out what are the current approximate wait times and backlog at Canadian High Comission in UK (at the time when your file was transferred). They might even write to you when to expect your interview.

Hi faisal,
Thanks for your reply . My agent while applying had informed that i would be in Canada in 12 months time which now seems to be an exagerrated claim. He has now advised me to be patient till early next year i.e 2005.
i s there any way of checking the status of the application over the net or contacting the centre of immigration there?
jwagh
hi,
forget these agents.... In fact if you really qualify for immigration, you never need to have an agent. My agent was asking 4000 $ from me for applying my case. I said goodbye to him and went on to do it myself. I got it done in 1.5 years thru london. These agents are one of the biggest gimmicks in the canadian immigration situations and i've seen friends pouring thousand over these agents with no appreciable results.
You can always check the status of your application online from http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK in the london section. You can also write / fax to them to check about your status if your wait time has passed over the scheduled appointment date by the CHC.

hi faisal,
thanks for your reply, but i have fallen hook line and sinker to the gimmicks of the agent already last year ,since i was not aware that one could apply on their own. now thanks to this site and other sites on the net i am much more aware of the country and the existing situation. also the time lag is due to the previous applications which were stayed are being processed.
my main worry is as the time progresses the situation especially the economic changes as well as the age advances limiting job options hence the impatience which i think the agents do not care about
thanks for your support though will let you know about the progress of my application.
