Relax. You will be fine. Spend your time before landing to enjoy with friends and family in India, you wouldn't be seeing them soon after landing, learn about Calgary and things you need to do to settle in the City (other than Job).
Just don't waste your time after landing to find odd jobs. Use the landing funds to live and establishing your Canadian sales track record.
Follow the strategy, I mentioned in the other thread http://www.canadiandesi.com/read.php?TID=963
Just use your sales skills to form alliances with different IT resellers in Calgary and then sell the heck out of their products. Once, you are in Calgary, send me an email with your contact information and details, I would be happy to help anyway I can.

Hi AnilKG,
Thanks for your reply.
I have varied experience in sales. Initially I started off as a Sales Executive making cold calls, following up on enquiries, sending quotes, taking order & ofcourse taking payment without which no sale is complete. Also handled dealers. Subsequently our company got into selling thro' dealers only since we became Country distributors, so I was responsible for appointing new dealers, promoting business thro' them & also handling major corporate accounts. Also co-ordinated with major principal companies like Microsoft, Citrix, Corel, APC, etc. for business promotion. In addition, I was the Branch Manager responsible for profitability & administration, etc.
So it is a mix of inside, outside, dealer channel, consultative & cold calling.
If you say so, I can send my resume to you so that you have a detailed idea. Maybe you can suggest a few changes too.
Thanks & regards.
Rajan.
