I'm new to this wonderful forum. First I would like to thank all the people who are contributing their valuable time in answering & guiding new immigrants.

I've a Question about Landing and coudn't find the answer from the threads. We are a family of 4 . Myself , Wife & 2 small kids. I'm contemplating to Land from the US Individually (Where I currently live ) and my family to follow after a couple of months.
Is this possible or the whole family has to land together ?
If yes, are there any disadvantages ?

The only requirement is that the primary applicant should land first.
If you were the primary applicant, you must land first and your family can follow later.

Of course, they need to land before their visas expire.

Landing alone with a car which is registered in my wifes name. Anybody done this before ? Should I carry a consent document or something alike signed by my wife ?

You won't be able to import the car, I don't think.
For landing, yeah, you can use any vehicle.
I know people who have landed using friend's car.
However, I will strongly recommend that you call the border post that you are planning to land through and check with them.
Don't just call the 800 number - call the specific border post.

Call both the US and Canadian posts because you will be required to stop at both if you have a US registered car.

What is a Canadian Daytime Running Light system ? For ex: One of our cars is 2004 Toyota Corolla which has auto light switches on during cloudy or dim light conditions. IS canadian DLS different from US DLS ?
