Not that I know of. You can buy a chepa one if you intend trimming and doing a little bit by your self. should cost you around $ 20/-. it is better you do not be adventurous and carry any electrical hair cutting stuff as becuase of the voltage it might very well be a clutter in the house if not used.

Peacock, If u are a barber by profession then there is no harm in getting ur kit. Your query in not clear !

No you do not "HAVE" to bring any hair cutting kit. There are plenty of hair cutting saloons here. However a hair cut may cost you anywhere from C$5 to C$50 depending on where you go.

i agree with rebello, cool, u need to save as new immigrant but no with messing up your hair by "Do it yourself". YOu need to be welgroomed in the intial days for interviews etc.

yes, as ccherryl said, you would'nt want your initial 'job hunting' days also be 'bad hair' days. Not a good combo pal.
Let me emphasize on one thing ( i'm sure rest of the CDs will agree)
'Dont compromise on the necessecities during this period. things like pc with internet, phone or cell, good set of clothes etc are not luxuries but necessecitis'
