Hi Indians,
I'm regularly taking medicines like, diabetes, thyroid, BP, and bring it from India, as it's cheap and my physician also suggested me that too.
Can someone suggest me, how I can bring medicines from India, (Officially)Gujarat. I usually keep stock of 1 year with me.
I would appriciate your reply.

Keep proper prescription, in case it is asked (if your bags are opened at the port of entry). I have never had any problems while bringing medicines from India.

But how to get them by parcel or courier ,any body used this mode ..?
Some one from India can send the medicines by speed post.
Ask them to write on top of the parcel " medicines"
I got medicines two times like this.
Once i was charged $17 towards customs duty.
Hi Friends,
What you are doing is not correct legaly. By law, you can Import medicine for self use for only 3 Month if you are returing from overseas . This also requires proper documentation like Presciption. It can not be for longer then 3 month. Also importing medicine by post is also allowed for one time use for 3 month only. You can check CBSA website for clear guidelines.

Please put as much medicine as you want in check in luggage (within limit). Nobody will question you. You have to pack it in small boxes and put it in different suitcases.
Of course, if you carry in cabin luggage then, they will question you. You can carry 2-3 bottle of medicine in cabin luggage like for fever, ear ache, cold and cough for children and for adults BP,diabetic medicine. Nobody asks for prescription but better to carry to be on safer side.
