Hi i am reema agrawal...My husband is on student visa since Sepetember 2010.He is getting his SIN num by April2011 and his course is getting over by April22...In May 2011 he is applying for post study work permit....
I joined my husband on Dec 26,2010...I am on visitor visa.My visa is valid till 12 june 2011...
I do have query,s
a)Can i apply for dependent visa to convert my visitor visa into dependent visa.
b)Or should i try to extend my visitor visa...
c)When can we apply for PR..
Pls give us timely replies to solve our immigration issues....

When your husband applying for open work permit .... same time you can renew your status to either Open Work Permit ( if you want to work) or Temporary Residence ( if you just want to stay).
You can apply for PR if one of you meets the current criteria for PR. It seems your husband studied only one year in Canada and never worked before in Canada .... hence he is not eligible to file PR under Canadian Experience Category (CEC). If one of you fits into current list of occupations listed for Immigration and have at least one year experience then in principle you will be eligible for PR. If not one of you need to have Arranged Employment.
Unless we know the total background of you people ( academic and work), it is difficult to give a specific advice.

Please can u confirm me what all the documents you have used to have the visitor visa as i m also looking to apply for my wife's visa and i am also a student here came in September 2010. I think i am already late to apply the visa so plz confirm me how u have gone through the process or u have taken the help of any consultant from India. My wife she lives in New Delhi so plz reply me as soon as possible...
