Hi All,
I had come to U.S on a B1 visa and had changed the status to H1-B. Now I have got my Canada P.R and planning to make an entry in the next few days. I also have scheduled my interview with the Toronto Consulate for my H1-B Visa (I have approved petition but no visa)
Can some one pls advise what I should provide as permanent residence address in D-156? Also, They need two references in Applicants country of residence. I dont know anyone in canada! These are going to be my first few days! Has anyone faced this situation before?
Can I provide my temporary residence as my permanent residence? Can I provide references in U.S?
Help!

My Apologies, its the form D-158 where they ask for references. Let me put down the exact words they use.
"List at least Two Contacts in Applicants Country of residence who can verify information about applicant (do not list immediate family members or other relatives) (postal box number unacceptable)"
Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch for the previous reply Mr. Pratick!!

Just read the letter they sent me again. You are right. D-158 is not for H1-B. Thats a major relief.. although that was pretty dumb of me. They sent it to me as a part of the interview documents in the mail and I assumed that I would need to fill it up!
Thanks a lot again!
