Guys,
I love fishing... I started fishing like 3/4 years ago and feel like i am hooked on it for life Good thing about this is that i love this addiction
I was living in montreal before. Fished regularly in the Montreal area.
Now I live in Toronto, and am looking for favourite fishing spots and fishing buddies...
Anyone out here from GTA who loves fishing? Regulary goes out fishing? Interested in fishing?
Can you guys share your experiences from in and around GTA ? I dont mind driving 1 or 2 hours if the fishing spot is hot.
Last year i even tried ice fishing. We managed to get like 4/5 perches. It was less of fish and more of fun. Drinks/Food/Cards in a heated hut right in the middle of a river. It was like a winter pinic.

Reviving an old thread.
I am a fan of fishing and I used to fish a lot outside Canada by using local materials (For Fish rod I use a stick and for the Buoy I use a wooden float).
I am looking for a suitable spot to fish near Toronto.
I will buy fish rods from Walmart but do need information WRT to the following
1: place where worms are sold.
2: Fishing license issuing spots
3 : Good locations for Fishing ( I need a location where Fish abunds and would like to catch atleast 1 fish every 5 mins).
Any information appriciated.
Thanks

Dear TK,
My input for above quarries;
1. Mostly near the fishing spots. But I found them costlier there. The side shops on roads leading to fishing spots also have worms sometimes. Best will be to catch them in your garden in wet spots. That enhances fun of the game.
2. Canadian Tire has all that. There may be many others too.
3. That does not sound very practical. With 20 fishes an hour..., I think you will have to put most of them back in water, as there is some maximum limit on number you can take home- legally; unless you wish to wind up in 20 minutes or so.
HAPPY FISHING.
