What I find is that 90% desis work on technical /skilled/semiskilled or labour jobs. I would like to know the split between people working as managers and as technical personnel.

I have only 2 cents to contribute, not a cent more, not a cent less ;-)

Hi GG,

This is regarding the ongoing effort to bring in discipline amongst CDs in submitting posts.

To avoid any further heartburn and the controversies (like the one related with Satesh), let us seek the opinion of our members in the form of following poll :

Que : Should the moderator be allowed to delete/lock any such thread found offensive and bad in taste ?

* Yes, on his own initiative.

* Yes, but only on receiving complaints from fellow CDs.

* Yes, but only after giving due warning to the contributor.

* No, Never.

I hope the mandate of the members would contribute in sorting out this crucial aspect.

Suggestions are most welcome !

Dear Garvo,

This is a good thread about polls.

What about this one:

>>If you have migrated directly from India to Canada for more that a year, how do you feel your life is moving:

1) Far Better than what it was in India.
2)Somewhat better.
3) Somewhat similar.
4) Worse.
5) Far too bad.
>>>>>>>>

I hope you may refine the idea.

Thks

Vijesh
