I have been looking at the maps but a little detail would definitely help ex

- Can someone tell me the nearest TTC or Go station to the address
- And if there is a bus how long would it take.

The rest I will try and figure out.
Thanks

Take East Bound Train from Kipling.
Get down at Dundas West Station.
Come outside the station and take street car #504 KIng Street.
It will drop you at 720 King St W
(Nearest Intersection is King and Bathrust)

Do remember to take transfer when you board train at Kipling Station.

Ok, texan look at the map I gave you.
First click on the "Subway/RT Route Map" You can see that Kipling is at the westernmost end of the TTC subway running the east-west corridor. Get on the train from Kipling. You don't have to bother about east/west because no train travels further west from Kipling :D
Before entering the Kipling station thro the gate, you will pick up what is called a "transfer'. It is a piece of paper that allows you to continue your onward journey even if the mode of transport is changed i.e from train to a bus, back to train whatever. Get on the subway train and get off at Bloor-Yonge station.
Now click the "Downtown Routes" map on the TTC link that I gave you. As you can see, the east west line is in green. There is also a north-south subway corridor(shown in yellow) This north-south line and east west line cross at three points - Spadina, St George and Bloor-Yonge. You get off the train at Bloor-Yonge. From here you have to switch to the north-south line, and you have to travel south since the station that you want to go is "King" and that is south of Bloor-Yonge. With me so far? Good!Follow signs and change platforms at Bloor-Yonge so that you are on a train travelling to Union Station. The train should read "Downsview" as its last stop(You can see how a train starting from "Finch" on the north-south line travels thro Bloor-Yonge, to Union Station, turns and heads back up north to Downsview.
On the train travelling south from Bloor-Yonge you will get off at "King" Station, which is 5th after you board the train. At King come out to the surface so that you are on King Street. You might be disoriented about which way is east and which way is west. Either consult a compass, or ask. I would ask. Get to a bus stop(it should be pretty close to where you surface from the underground). Take the street car/bus that says "508" and is going west. Ask the driver to give you a shout and drop you off at King&Bathurst. Get down when the driver asks you to. It should not be a long drive. Maybe 10mins or even less. So don't go taking a nap on the street car. Once you are off the street car, look around for your address. Depending on how well you have followed directions as given, either your destination should be a couple of minutes of walking distance either way, else you are completely lost. If it is the former fine, else good luck! :D
Just curious - You are coming to this place for the first time and you want to go and meet your friend on King St. Can't he come over and pick you up at your hotel?

Thank you both Desi 1 and DiogenestheCynic,

I am visiting Toronto for the 2nd time. The first time was when I came there to get my H1B stamping on 9/7/2001 and even though I did get my visa I was forced to stay a week in Toronto because of 9/11 and all airports/borders being closed.
So I do have some idea of the Geography and transport system, just not the details of how to get to specific locations (ex I have enough knowledge to get to any subway system but no knowledge of busses etc from there).
Anyways this address is for the offices of a firm with which my wife had worked with previously in the UK and she wanted to go there and check out what potential opportunities thay may have in Canada. While we were doing our PR landing we wanted to explore the most of what opportunities there are in the GTA area.
Thanks

Hi TexanCanadian --

One of the most effective ways of planning a route is to call TTC and/or Go Transit.
I have done this several times.
I would simply tell them my starting point and the destination address and they would tell me the best route, the estimated travel times and any alternative routes as well.

I have found both TTC and Go Transit service people on the phone very friendly.
They never said "figure it out on your own" or "it's all on the website".

Give it a try - it will only cost you a few cents in a long-distance call (average hold times are usually 5 - 10 minutes).
