If the manufacturing sector improves by the time you complete the masters degree ... you may have better chances to get a good job.

Value of the program!!! .. it is different to different people. It will not be a situation like ... employers will stand inline with offers when you finish the program ... It depends more on your advanced knowledge, exceptional communication skills and something EXTRA in your profile that makes you different from other crowd.

You need to understand that "Detroit" economy is currently bankrupt and it will have an impact on windsor ... atleast for some time to come.

The Co-Op program at Windsor University is an excellent one. You are getting into it there at the Master's Level. So, you have the basics plus an excellent start. It would have helped if you had mentioned the work experience that you have from that end, after your graduation. Needless to say that the Automobile industries there in India are progressing extremely well and if you do not find the opening that they offer after the completion, you can always get a very good opening back home.

There are some quirks in the co-op programs and just put up with the deductions that they make from your take home stipend. Delve a lot deeper while you are under training there, because the knowledge that you will acquire at the studying end cannot be supplemented by anyone other than yourself. So, get the five w's before you pack up from Windsor. Your notes will become highly valuable to you later on, in your career.

Discuss this with a Vocational Guidance counselor after you land there, but BEFORE you decide upon working location associated with the co-op program, as many a times the continuity from co-op to full-time employment will provide you with a few advantages which you might already know. So, take this as a subject matter as a discussion with him/her.

Working at Sarnia and living in Windsor will call for a commute and a conveyance will become a necessity. Hence, I will ask you to weigh the issue prior to commitment. Get all of the required documents and an IDP for driving here in Canada, upon reading this material. You have to get prepared for a settlement here and hence the suggestion.

Please google and search for the automotive Manufacturer's list both at Windsor and also at Sarnia. Jot down the facts and figures and keep them handy too.

Hope this gets you started on the right track.

Good Luck.

FH.
